The History of Boston

About Boston | Education of Boston | Points of Interest

In 1630, Puritans colonists from England landed on the Shawmut Peninsula, and settled there creating thefirst settlement of England in the New World. Later during the late 18th Century, Boston had been the location of many major events involving the American Revolution for Independance, such as the Boston Massacre and Boston Tea Party.

Boston was also involved in many major battles during the war as well, such as the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Siege of Boston, Many historians claim that Boston was the beginning spark for the whole American Revolution. After American Independance, Boston started to thrive in the new world; creating shipping ports and manufacturing centeds, Boston has attained a rich history, and attracts tourists by the millions annually.
